Rose gold filled is not solid gold, therefore much more affordable, but also more durable and has much more real gold than gold plated. Gold filled has 1000x thicker layers of real gold than gold plated.
These studs are small enough to be worn on your second or third ear hole. Each letter varies in size depending on the shape, however they measure about 1/8-1/4 inch wide. For instance an "a" will measure about 1/8 inch wide and an "m" will measure a little closer to 1/4 inch.
